چکیده
The first-place winner of the 2022–2023 IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) Student Shirt Design Contest is Robin Roy, Amal Jyothi College Engineering, India. Students were tasked with designing a shirt that illustrates building on 70 years innovation in solid-state circuit design. Roy’s design features theme logo back side SSCS and logos back. concept silicon wafer as background text few fabricated chips removed white spaces. winning was printed, designed onto long sleeve shirts, handed out to all Graduate Members at 2023 International Conference. Congratulations runners up: second-place winner, Mahdi Yektaei, Shahed University, Iran, third-place Saurabh Yadav, Indian Institute Technology Indore, held annually fall. Datalogging Shirt for Baseball Pitchers Design Team
Baseball pitcher elbow injuries have been increasing in frequency and severity. The ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) prevents valgus (lateral) stress on the elbow, but the forces generated by throwing are great enough to tear the UCL on each pitch. While research has shown that high quality pitching mechanics incorporate stabilizing muscles and help reduce elbow injuries, particularly severe UCL...

Researcher of the group from Professor Martina Zitterbart won the 2009 IPv6 application contest with their idea proposal. A team lead by Dr. Roland Bless and Dr. Oliver Waldhorst won the price for their idea for using the upcoming Internet protocol IPv6 for peer-topeer networks. The International IPv6 Application Contest 2009 was initiated by the German IPv6 Council. The award ceremony took pla...
متن کاملContest Design: An Experimental Investigation
This paper experimentally compares the performance of four simultaneous lottery contests: a grand contest, two multiple prize settings (equal and unequal prizes), and a contest which consists of two subcontests. Consistent with the theory, the grand contest generates the highest effort levels among all simultaneous contests. In multi-prize settings, equal prizes produce lower efforts than unequ...
متن کاملTDTOS – T-shirt Design and Try-On System
In this paper, a new framework for T-shirt design and try-on simulation based on FPGA is presented. Users can not only gain realistic try-on experience, but also design the T-shirts all on their own. The design approach of this system consists of three major parts. First, collect relevant information from the camera and identify the position of the clothes. Second, process the retrieved data an...
متن کاملSocial Loss Aversion and Optimal Contest Design
When designing a contest to motivate effort by salespeople, service employees, franchisees or product development teams, one of the key questions faced by managers is: What should be the optimal proportion of winners and losers? Prevailing marketing theory predicts that the proportion of winners in a contest should always be lower than the proportion of losers. Not only has this theory not been...
